Cough cough. I did enjoy cutting the notches. Using the circular saw to cut the kerfs. Eh. Banging the kerfs out with the hammer. Better. But cleaning the kerf lines with the chisel. Using your hands to guide the chisel, the wood peeling away in soft curls of pine. Smelling the released resin. Seeing the smoothed clear grain of the wood.
Well I’ve finally started the next build for my off grid camp. My winter bedroom build (aka “the hay rack”) is a tiny house 10×14′ green home.
I started with a plan. Cough cough. I’ll talk more about “the plan” another time.
To start I sunk these helical metal posts using the post hole auger on my tractor. That went well. Maniacal laughter. I did get pretty good at driving them. 3 shear pins and few hours of practice later.
