This is the view from my bed looking up. Note that with the “perfect wall” I don’t need interior insulation, nor do I need drywall. So in keeping with the “chalet” aesthetic, I’m leaving the boards raw.
Well, after a) cleaning the spark plug and topping up the oil on my genny; and b) shoveling 6 inches of snow off my lumber; I c) measured, cut, stretched, sawed, kicked, sawed some more, ripped and finally finished putting in the pine floor.
I have now spent 3 nights sleeping in the chalet. I’m very pleased to report that night one I went to bed with the interior temp at 21 and woke to 14 (70/60F). -6 (21F) overnight but no wind. This is before closing the gap above the door and foaming the last 2 window frames.
